Casio is talking like Palm did before iPhone

jawboneup These were the quotes of Kazuo Kashio CEO of Casio in an interview recently.

“Suddenly, everyone’s discovered the wrist,” Kazuo Kashio, Casio’s 84-year-old chief executive, said in an interview at the company’s Tokyo headquarters. “We’ve known for a long time it’s prime real estate. We’re prepared.”

85 percent of Casio’s operating profit of approximately $206 million comes from Watches

With Samsung and Apple rumoured to release a watch like product soon. These words look like what Palm ceo said when asked about Apples iPhone.

"PC guys are not going to just figure this out. They're not going to just walk in."

I don't wear a watch regularly, i used to wear a fit bit not anymore. I am really interested in a device like Jawbone Up. Which is slim enough to be ignored on your wrist for days.

But i want more features, not just steps etc. I want a display just small enough to give some feedback. May be even a single line of words like the Nike fuel band.

I need more features though not just call alerts and step tracking etc.

From what i am hearing Samsung will have a big display which is a no go for me as it will be uncomfortable wearing for days.

Apple, Samsung and Google have a hard time selling me the watch.

Casio has a similar watch but its big bulky and just shows call alerts called Casio G-Shock Bluetooth Watch
